K.Chiranjeevi, who filed his nomination for a 6 year term of
Rajyasabha membership, has put an end to rumors about one of his family
members contesting from tirupati.
After getting formally elected to rajyasabha on april 2nd, chiranjeevi will be resigning for his MLA post, which he got from tirupati constituency in 2009 summer.
Media speculated that chiranjeevi will field either his wife Surekha or younger brother Nagababu from this area to retain this vacant seat.
But today chiru confirmed that his family will not contest in tirupati by-elections.
Instead he will working according to the directions of congress high command.
Chiru also said that he will use the funds released by state government under MLA quota, to develop tirupati before he leaves.
He is expected to be included into union cabinet during next expansion this summer.
