Megastar Chiranjeevi, who became Rajyasabha member recently, commented that communicating with people through films is easier than through political yatras and roadshows.
Tonight, he was speaking with media at his ex-constituency, Tirupati and chiru said that “Cinema is a powerful medium than politics.
We can take our message among the cadres through films more easily.
Recently, AICC observer came to my house for breakfast and asked me to reach people in this state through message oriented movies.
Now that i’m free from state politics, i should concentrate on using medium of cinema to get closer to my fans and people in this state.
Once i finalize on proper script and director, I will start my 150th movie.“

Well, this is certainly a good news for megafans as they’ve been longing to see him back in fullfledged hero role since past 5 years.
With Charan and Pawan now delivering atleast two movies per year, it would be a feast if Chiru also has one mega release in between them.

Pawan Kalyan gets 50% of Gabbar Singh profits

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, once thought of producing Dabangg remake as ‘Gabbar Singh’ on his own banner Pawan Kalyan Creative Works.
But later, he gave it to producer Ganesh babu to help him score a hit, especially after Teenmaar’s failure.

As per their understanding, Pawan worked for this movie without taking any remuneration and on condition that profits would be shared 50-50.
Ganesh Babu is completing this movie with budget of around 15 crores(excluding pawan’s remuneration) and as per reports so far, business offers are above 40 crores in all areas for this movie.

Apart from that, satellite rights also will addup to the total.
So this movie will definitely make a profit of 30 crores for Ganesh babu and pawan would get around 15 crores for Gabbar Singh.

This will make him the highest paid actor in telugu movie industry.
Till date, nobody has crossed 10 crore mark for any telugu movie.

Suhasini Maniratnam comments on Gabbar Singh

Suhasini Maniratnam has commented on Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film, Gabbar Singh recently.
She commented that Screenplay should also be important and dialogues, Graphics, mannerisms should not be concentrated.
It is said that she is commenting because she is not at all happy with the role of Pawan’s mother given to her and how director Harish Shankar handled her role.

Incidentally, Shruti Haasan, who played pawan’s love interest Bhagya Lakshmi and Suhasini’s daughter-in-law in this movie, is her elder cousin sister in real life.

Gabbar Singh title song shooting starts at Gachibowli

The title track of Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Gabbar Singh’ will be shot from today at Aluminium Industry near Gachibowli.
The song is ‘Dekho Dekho Gabbar Singh’ and Ganesh master is the choreographer.
Music has been scored by Devi Sri Prasad.
Shooting of the talkie part has already been completed and post production works are going ahead at full speed.
As announced earlier, Nathalia Kaur is not dancing for this song as she had renumeration and dates problem.
Gabbar Singh is all set to hit the screens in second week of may 2012.

Megafans and Maheshfans fight over Racha flexis at Nellore

Ramcharan joins YEVADU shooting from 27 april

Ram Charan Tej’s YEVADU movie had its muhurtam on 9th december 2011 and director Vamshi Paidipally has shot few scenes which did not involve the hero, in past two months.
 Now, charan would be back from mumbai after completing his first schedule for his bilingual movie Zanjeer and join Yevadu unit from 27th of this month.

Charan has already completed a schedule for v.v.vinayak’s movie, which releases in september.

Yevadu is an action thriller, in which Charan plays a police officer and it also has Sai Kumar as villain and Allu Arjun playing a cameo role.
 Samantha and Amy Jackson as the leading ladies and Dil Raju is producing the film on Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.

Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for this movie, which is slated for january 2013 release.

Surprisingly, Charan would be seen as a police officer in both his releases slated for 2013, Yevadu and Zanjeer.

Upasana, Ramcharan honeymoon in Greece

The most eligible bachelor now in tollywood is Ram Charan Tej, and he would be losing his bachelorhood in less than 2 months from now.

Between his busy movie schedules, charan would be taking 10 days break in june for his wedding with Upasana Kamineni and also honeymoon is planned in greece.

Ram Charan, Tamanna starrer RACHA is successfully running in all the released centers.
 Producers have announced that its initial collections are competing with Magadheera’s records.
 They are planning to conduct a grand function to celebrate the fifty days run of Racha which is set to complete the mark on May 24.
 And the latest news is that the 50 days function of is likely to take place in Kurnool.

Earlier, the makers have made arrangements to organize the audio songs release over here, but due to exams season they have changed the venue to Hyderabad in the last moment.
 Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan and Nagababu are expected to attend the 50 days function of Racha.

Ramcharan’s next 3 films release dates

Ram Charan Tej is the only star hero in tollywood, who is acting in 3 movies simultaneously.
After his first movie Chirutha, he took almost 2 years gap for Magadheera and 1.5 years gap for Orange.

After these, he took 1.5 years again for Racha, but now he doesn’t seem to stop.
Before Racha released, he completed one each schedule for Vinayak’s movie and Yevadu.
Immediately after Racha, he flew to mumbai and started his hindi debut film Zanjeer.

He is supposed to get married in june with his fiancee Upasana, and even for that he is planning to take only 10 days break from his busy movie schedules.
By doing so, he is planning to release Vinayak’s movie in September 2012, Yevadu release for sankranti 2013 and Zanjeer in summer 2013.

Puri Jagannadh will be completing his current movie with Ravi Teja, Devudu Chesina Manushulu by may and is preparing to start Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu from june.

Earlier, pawan wanted Devi Sri to compose music for this movie, but due to prior commitments and lack of dates, Devi dropped from this project.
So, puri and pawan have decided to rope in Mani Sarma for composing music for this movie.

Chiranjeevi is a top leader in congress : Vayalar Ravi

Union Minister Vayalar Ravi, who is currently on a visit to Andhra Pradesh to take stock of the prevailing situation in Congress in the wake of its sagging popularity, met actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

“Chiranjeevi is one of the top leaders of the Congress party. Not only in the state, his contributions to the national level also, are we taking to maximum possible (extent)“, Mr. Ravi told reporters after a breakfast meeting with Mr. Chiranjeevi, who has been elected to the Rajya Sabha recently.

Mr. Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam was merged with Congress in the recent past and the Telugu mega star is likely to be made a Union Minister.

It was with Praja Rajyam’s support, the Congress government in the state survived a TDP-sponsored no-confidence motion which was supported by the Congress MLAs loyal to Kadapa MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Asked about the complaint of some erstwhile Praja Rajyam leaders that they did not get due recognition in Congress post-merger, Mr. Ravi said they are being accommodated and would be recognised in due course.

Mr. Chiranjeevi, too, said the merger from grass root level is a slow process which takes its time.

Replying to a query, Mr. Ravi said he did not discuss the selection of candidates for the ensuing by-polls with state leaders and it will be done in due process.

The main criterion for selection of candidates is winnability, he said.

Mr. Ravi began his mission of assessing the ground situation yesterday in the wake of sagging popularity of Congress in Andhra Pradesh ahead of crucial by-polls to 18 Assembly and one Lok Sabha seat.

Mr. Ravi, an old hand in AP affairs, held consultations with several MPs, MLAs, ministers and other party leaders.

Denying that there is lack of coordination between the Chief Minister and the state Congress president, Mr. Ravi said on Tuesday that they are discharging their respective duties.

Mr. Ravi, however, stressed the party needs to be rejuvenated and strengthened from the grassroots level and geared up to face the coming by-polls.

“The YSR party (of Jagan) is trying to challenge us in the coastal area. Yes, we have to face the challenge,” he said.

Mr. Ravi said his visit is not aimed at change of either the Chief Minister or the PCC president. “I have no mandate to do anything regarding the CM or the PCC president.”

The Union Minister’s visit came in the wake of the trouble in the state Congress over the Telangana issue and the reported growing strength of Mr. Jagan.

The ruling party is gripped by intense infighting among party leaders in recent times. The sharp differences within the party have emerged as a matter of concern to the Congress high command as by-polls will be held soon to 18 assemblies and one Lok Sabha constituency.

Congress drew a blank in the by-polls held for seven Assembly seats last month in AP which sends the largest contingent of party MPs to the Lok Sabha.

Mr. Kiran Reddy and Mr. Satyanarayana had been recently summoned to Delhi and reportedly told by the party leadership to work unitedly for Congress’ victory in the coming polls.

AP is the only major state where Congress is in power on its own and which has sent over 30 MPs to the Lok Sabha.

The by-polls for 16 seats have become necessary due to the disqualification of sitting Congress MLAs by Assembly Speaker who switched loyalty to Mr. Jagan. A sitting member quit in support of Mr. Jagan in another seat. Besides, Chiranjeevi quit as MLA following his election to Rajya Sabha.

Ramcharan surprises Zanjeer team with his hindi diction

At a time when Bollywood has been going gaga over South remakes, actor Ram Charan Tej has taken a different route, a bold step by foraying into Bollywood with a remake of yesteryear hit “Zanjeer” that had made Amitabh Bachchan the ‘angry young man‘.

Stepping into Big B’s shoes, Charan had to do something about his Hindi.
Though Charan’s character has been reportedly etched in such a manner that he does not have to speak much, the actor on his own begun to take Hindi lessons.
And now we hear that he has indeed managed to surprise the “Zanjeer” team with his flawless Hindi, when the first leg of shooting began in Mumbai recently.
In this remake, Charan is paired opposite Priyanka Chopra, who is reprising Jaya Bachchan’s role in the original.

Zanjeer remake will release in summer 2013.

‘Zanjeer’ remake is a compliment: Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan, who starred in the 1973 blockbuster ‘Zanjeer‘, says he has no opinion on the remake of the film and rather takes it as a compliment that the movie is getting made again.
The remake had initially faced some opposition with the original film’s writers raising objection, but the matter was sorted out recently.

The new ‘Zanjeer‘ is being directed by Apoorva Lakhia of ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala‘ fame and starring Ram Charan, son of South superstar Chiranjeevi. Bachchan, 69, recently met them while he was at Film City shooting for an ad. “While on set I learnt that ‘Zanzeer’ the II was being shot on an adjoining floor and that Charan the hero and its maker Apoorva Lakhia wanted to visit me.
Charan is a very successful star in his own right in Telugu cinema, he is the son of superstar Chiranjeevi, a dear friend. I met them and wished them well.
The producer is Prakash Mehra’s son Amit… The rights belong to Mehra and they have the right to make or remake what they like. I cannot have a say in it,” Bachchan wrote on his blog.

“I worked as an artist in the film and got my remuneration for it. Over! Seeking my opinion would be incorrect.. For this I can only give my very best wishes. I do hope they will make a successful film.
It is a compliment to the film being remade it was worthy of remaking when you had a hand in making the original.
How many films do carry the benefit of a remake, is what needs to be appreciated also,” Bachchan added.

Big B was starred opposite wife Jaya Bachchan in the original film along with yesteryear actors Pran, Ajit and Bindu. Actress Mahie Gill has been roped in to play Bindu’s character Mona, Prakash Raj in Ajit’s role as Teja, Arjun Rampal in Pran’s role as Pathan Sher Khan and Priyanka Chopra along with Ram Charan Tej play lead roles in the remake.

Gabbar Singh audio CDs first batch sold out

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s GABBAR SINGH music CDs were released into market yesterday and were sold like hot cakes.
Aditya Music company, who released this album, revealed that more than 80% of the first batch were sold out in first half of the day and they’re sending out second batch stock in less than 24 hours of first batch release.


Songs has become a chartbusters for which Devi Sri Prasad had composed for the film.
Going by these developments, it’s only a matter of time before Gabbar Singh starts breaking several other records. Harish Shankar has directed the film and Shruti Haasan is playing the lead role.
Ganesh Babu has produced the film. Currently, Harish Shankar and his team is filming the song Kevvu Keka with Malaika Arora Khan grooving to the number in Hyderabad.

Rajinikanth’s best advise to Chiranjeevi

Megastar Chiranjeevi indirectly credited his friend, superstar Rajinikanth for many of his films doing well at the box office by revealing a secret.


Speaking at the audio launch of his brother and actor Pawan Kalyan’s film Gabbar Singh, Chiranjeevi revealed that Rajinikanth had advised him to work with directors who are also his fans.


“A director who is also a fan can be a lethal combination,” Chiranjeevi said. He went on to add that Gabbar Singh director Haris Shankar simply adores Pawan Kalyan. “I think that this alone would make Gabbar Singh a winner,” Chiranjeevi said.


Talking about the audio of the film, that was launched at a gala event, the actor-politician said that he felt like dancing to the tunes of the film, composed by Devi Sri Prasad.


“I had to hold myself back but my fingers were moving with rhythm,” said the actor, admired for his dancing prowess. Chiranjeevi also conveyed the best wishes of actor Ram Charan, who is shooting in Mumbai, to Pawan Kalyan. He ridiculed reports about a rift in the ‘mega‘ family.


“We don’t need to lie about our whereabouts since an immigration stamp would vouch for Pawan Kalyan’s trip to the US during Racha audio launch,” he said.


Chiranjeevi also made an appeal, laced with sarcasm, to the media, “Now don’t write that Ram Charan is in town, but he didn’t turn up for the audio launch.”


He described Pawan Kalyan as an ‘honest person‘ with a great social outlook. “He is a humanist at the core of his heart,” Chiranjeevi said. Producer Ganesh described Pawan Kalyan as a man with a ‘multiple personalities‘.


“I saw 900 avatars of Pawan in the three years of my association with him. He is a great friend and supporter,” said Ganesh.

Abbanee Tiyyanee Debba remix in Yevadu ?

Ramcharan’s two hit movies Magadheera and Racha had remix versions of old hit songs from chiranjeevi’s movies.
Magadheera had Bangaaru kodipetta from Gharana Mogudu and Racha had Vaana Vaana from Gang Leader.


Following this sentiment, now director Vamshi Paidipally is planning to get the famous Abbanee Tiyyanee Debba song from Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari, remixed by Devi Sri Prasad for Yevadu.
Producer Dil Raju also liked the idea of using the hit song composed by Ilayaraaja and yet to get a nod from Chiranjeevi and Ramcharan.

Two item songs in Zanjeer remake

Ram Charan Tej’s Zanjeer movie first schedule as begun at mumbai and heroine Priyanka chopra will join the unit from last week of may.
This movie will have two item songs and one will be shot on Mahie Gill, who plays Mona Darling.
Second item song will be shot on another dancer, who is yet to be selected.


Producer Amita Mehra praised Ramcharan and said that he selected charan after watching his performance in magadheera and is fully confident that charan will do justice to zanjeer’s vijay role.
Charan’s hindi diction has impoved a lot and is now confident of dubbing for himself.


Producers are still in search of a good music director and according to their schedule, shooting will be completed by end of 2012.
But they’re planning to spend quality time on post production and release Zanjeer in summer 2013.

Gabbar Singh accessories for auction

Gabbar Singh movie producers have decided to auction Pawan Kalyan’s accessories like goggles, name badge, police revolver and his police uniform.
All these will be available for fans to buy in auction from day 1 of movie release.


Earlier, many producers have auctioned weapons like Axe etc used by other heroes, but Pawan set the trend of selling t-shirts, caps, bands etc from Johnny movie in 2003.
His bullet dotted Pant from BALU was also sold in 2005.


Certainly, pawan is a trend setter and these accessories will be sold like hot cakes, once they’re auctioned.

Gabbar Singh KEVV KEKA song picturization started

Gabbar Singh movie is all done except couple of songs and its hot item number Kevv Keka song picturization has begun at a special set in Annapurna 7 acres.


Malaika Arora Khan is performing for this song along with Abhimanyu Singh and many dancers.
She is getting paid a whopping 1 crore rupees for dancing to this song.
Pawan Kalyan will be joining the song shoot during its end, just like Salman Khan did in munni badnaam song of Dabangg.

Let my silence speak louder than my words : Ramcharan

Mega Power star Ram Charan Tej is not fluent in Hindi, but that isn’t likely to come in the way of his Bollywood debut project, “Zanjeer” remake – as his character lets his silence speak. Nevertheless, the actor is taking Hindi tutorials.

“I’m working on my Hindi for sure. I’ve got a tutor to teach me the nuances. Waise meri Hindi utni buri nahin hai (Anyway, my Hindi is not that bad). But yes, it’s a character who screams through his silence,” said Tej.

“So let’s just say I’d let my silence speak louder than my words. That’s how my director Apoorva Lakhia and I are working on my character,” he added.

For now, Charan has larger concerns to deal with, like stepping into megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s shoes. Big B, as the latter is fondly called, played Vijay in the original film.

“So far dealing with being Chiranjeevi’s son was a challenge enough. But that challenge is nothing when compared with what I face now. To get into the space of India’s biggest star-actor is a prospect that I am not brooding over,” said Charan.

But he isn’t mulling over prospective comparison with the much senior Amitabh.

“If I think about how I’ll be compared in our ‘Zanjeer’ with Mr. Bachchan, I wouldn’t be able to get into it. I’ve constantly lived under the shadow of comparisons.
 When I started in Telugu cinema in 2007, I was judged as the great Chiranjeevi’s son. If I cowered, thinking I was being seen only as an heir-apparent and not an individual, I’d have been immobilised. I just did what came naturally to me,” he said.

Charan’s father Chiranjeevi too tried his luck in Hindi films like “Pratibandh” and “Aaj ka Goondaraj”, and the young actor feels that language is no bar for him.

“He did some films in Hindi and then returned to Telugu cinema. The world has shrunk since then. To me, Hindi cinema is only an extension of what I’m already doing. It doesn’t matter what the language of a film is. A movie is a movie at the end of the day,” he said.

Apart from “Zanjeer“, charan’s most well-known Telugu film “Magadheera” might be remade in Hindi.

But charan says he isn’t interested in doing the film in Hindi.

“I’m done with that character and role. ‘Magadheera‘ was a special challenge. But to recreate that challenge would be of no use. I’d rather do a ‘Zanjeer‘ which has been done earlier by another actor. I’d like to see where I can take that role,” he said.

There are also plans to bring the father-son duo together on screen soon.

“My father has completed 149 films. I hope to produce his 150th film and be part of it as an actor as well,” said charan, who has no plans of getting into politics like his father.

“I’m happy being an actor. I don’t see myself in the role of a politician at all,” he said.

But was there a lot of politics in southern movies?

“Not at all,” said Charan, adding: “All of us in Telugu cinema who are working as leading men, share a common platform. We’re competitors on screen. But once we’re out of the studios we’re one big family.
 In that sense, cinema is a lot like politics. My father says when he enters the Assembly, all the politicians debate, argue and fight. But once they are done, they become friends again.“

Ram Charan paid Rs 12 crore for his Bollywood debut Zanjeer

Ram Charan Tej is reportedly being paid a whopping Rs 12 crore for his Bollywood debut Zanjeer. At Rs 5.5 crore, the film’s leading lady, Priyanka Chopra, is getting less than half of Tej’s fees . The Rs 70-crore film is a partnership between Reliance and Prakash Mehra’s son and will be shot in Hindi and Telugu.

A source close to Charan said that the film-makers are not holding back on any extravagance as they are confident of getting Rs 40 crore for the Telugu version. “Ram Charan Tej is an established star in the South and they can leverage this,” the source added. On Tej’s remuneration for the film, the source said, “Charan already pockets Rs 10 crore per film in Tollywood. Currently, he has three films on the floor and three in the pipeline. Why should he do a film for peanuts?”

Charan agreed to do the Hindi film to reach out to a wider audience as well as to test the waters in a new market, the source said. Meanwhile, Cherry is happy with Racha breaking opening records. However, he kept mum about the speculation over his and Priyanka Chopra’s fees. “I can’t talk about such trivial issues. All this is handled by my manager anyway,” Ram Charan Tej said.

“Actually, I would liketo outdo Piryanka in terms of acting. I like her work in films like Fashion and Don. That will be a new challenge for me,” he said. Apart from that, the Telugu star is also polishing his Hindi. “I’m working on my Hindi for sure. I’ve got a tutor to teach me the nuances. Waise meri Hindi utni buri nahin hai (Anyway, my Hindi is not that bad). Moreover, my character in Zanjeer screams through his silence,” said Ramcharan.

Srinu Vaitla wishes to direct Pawan Kalyan

Irrespective of hit or flop, craze for Pawan Kalyan never goes down and every director wants to work with him atleast once.
 This was proved again with Srinu Vaitla, who is one of the most succesfull directors of tollywood.
 Last evening saw Gabbar Singh’s music release and Srinu Vaitla was one of the chief guest and on dias, he expressed his desire to make a movie with powerstar.

Infact Srinu Vaitla has prepared a script for kalyan long back and is awaiting for his nod but hasn’t got it yet.

Ramcharan takes blessings from Amitabh Bachchan for Zanjeer

Ram Charan Tej, who is in mumbai for his bollywood debut movie Zanjeer, met Big B Amitabh Bachchan on the movie sets and got his blessings.
 Charan tweeted that “Just met AB sir ,took his blessings.. And NOW zanjeer begins..yay!!“

Zanjeer(1973) was originally portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan and it brought him image of angry youngman and made him a big star in hindi movies.
 Now charan is repeating that role, supported by Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, Prakash Raj and Mahie Gill.

Last evening, Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh audio was released and Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun, Nagababu attended it but only charan could not make it as he was busy in zanjeer schedule.

Zanjeer remake is a 70 crore budget movie, planned to be released in hindi and telugu simultaneously in early 2013.

Megastar Chiranjeevi graced the audio release function of Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh and released the music CDs.
 Megafans had a festive time as this was the first movie function in past 4 years (after Jalsa audio release), when megabrothers got together on same dias.

Fans went bezerk after seeing two heroes on stage and infact the hungama started in morning iself from tirupati, then it continued to vizag and then to hyderabad.

Nathalia Kaur, who was spotted in kingfisher calender for 2011, made her bollywood debut with ‘Department’ movie directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
The latest news is that she’s going to dance in the title track of Gabbar Singh.
She’ll soon be in Hyderabad to shoot for the song.

Zanjeer movie remake makers have decided to replace the mighty Sanjay Dutt with Arjun Rampal.
Arjun will be playing the role of hero’s friend, Pathan Sher Khan, which was originally portrayed by Pran in 1973.
Priyanka Chopra is paid equal remuneration with hero for playing the female lead.
Prakash Raj plays the main villain Teja and Mahie Gill plays his girl friend, Mona Darling.

Mahie will be seen in a hot bikini and will also have a raunchy song shot on her along with the hero Ramcharan and villain Prakash Raj.

Upasana’s bachelor party in Las Vegas

Ram Charan will be getting married to his fiancee Upasana Kamineni in about couple of months from now and she has planned to throw a bachelor party much in advance.
Upasana has arranged a party for her close friends in a grand way. She, along with some close friends, flew to Las Vegas to celebrate the bachelor bash!

Charan is too busy with two telugu movies and one hindi movie which are all going along simulateneously and he hardly has time to even relax and celebrate his recent box office success, Racha.
So, he won’t be joining her in vegas.

Ram Charan’s Zanjeer shooting starts in mumbai

Ramcharan’s hindi movie Zanjeer had its first clap in mumbai yesterday.
Charan, who had a hectic month so far, has participated in first schedule, which got preponed as there were no good muhurats after end of this month.
Priyanka Chopra is confirmed as the lead girl and Prakash Raj would be playing the villain Teja, while Mahie Gill will be playing his Mona Darling.

Charan tweeted that “In mumbai shooting for the first schedule of zanjeer . its a GRT team im working with.so pls wish them all the best !!!“

Sanjay Dutt will be playing charan’s friend role as Pathan Sher Khan.

Sixth song planned to be added for Racha movie

Racha movie unit are planning to add sixth song to the movie after two weeks of run.
Last year, under the same banner, Megasupergood films, Ramcharan has started Merupu movie and after a song was recorded by Devi Sri Prasad and shot, the project got shelved.

Now, producers are planning to use it as additional attraction for Racha, which has only five songs.
But Ramcharan wants to keep the tune of Devi Sri and use it for his Yevadu movie.

Right now, Racha is going strong by breaking all existing records of opening day, opening weekend collections and also going to break first week collections records among telugu movies.
